Finding Enjoyment through Creativity

Being creative will help you enjoy life. It engenders a spirit of gratitude. It develops latent talent, sharpens your capacity to reason, to act, and to find purpose in life. It dispels loneliness and heartache. It gives a renewal, a spark of enthusiasm, and zest for life.
Richard G.  Scott.

The above quote epitomises everything MEcuperate stands for.  Sometimes life can seem so difficult,  and we question if there is any good in the world. Something I was told years ago resonated with me strongly when I became ill with ME.  I was told to enjoy art,  music and poetry to fill my mind with the good things in life.  Even though I live the majority of my days within the same four walls,  it is easy for me to see that there is beauty and joy in this world and they are for our enjoyment.
I don't class myself as being very creative,  and many times I don't feel strong enough to accomplish anything,  but being able to look at and appreciate the creativity of others has helped me to see life and the world through different eyes.  I see colours,  shapes, perspectives; I hear the different sounds and tones; I read the beautiful use of language and it all  fills me with emotion.  They all remind me that life isn't about pain,  fatigue or misery. There is beauty and enjoyment to be found,  no matter our circumstances.
